The process begins with a face-to-face meeting. This valuable time is dedicated to capturing the style and personality of the potential client.
We explain what we do and discuss the design elements that they wish to see in their designs. At this time, we try to provide a general price range for the invitation they choose to create. That way the client knows up front the range in which their invitation will fall so there aren't any surprises later.
Invitations range in price depending on selected materials, complexity of design, number of inserts or elements, etc. Final costs are determined once the design is decided upon and a price estimate is sent to the client before the design process begins.
Once a client agrees to the price estimate, the client pays a nonrefundable design fee to start the actual design process. This results in a number of complete prototypes to show to the client (either in person or through email). Once the client picks the design they like, changes are made and a final design is determined.
When the final design is approved, 50% of the total invitation price is paid and production begins. At the end of production, the final 50% is paid and the invitations are delivered to the client.
The length of time our process takes depends on the complexity and level of detail of the design. Schedule will be determined in the initial meeting. Wedding invitations usually take the most time, and the process should begin at least 8-10 weeks before the mailing date (we prefer having as much time as possible). |
